Martial Arts:

Jiu Jitsu, Aiki-Jitsu, Aikido, Judo, Karate

The Club:

Bushido Allgäu is the Bavarian (south German) section of the MAA and WKF. We celebrate and action the old traditional martial art of Japan. We teach and train Jiu-Jitsu in its purest form. In the training we cultivate technique combinations, most of the time with some emphasis on a certain situation. We also practice the elementary school of Karate, Aikido and Karate. The techniques are sometimes playful, more like a movement study and sometimes rather pure for the take down of a violent offender. Our latest project is to train together with Horst Baumgürtel 6. Dan Gojukai Karate; Shihan Renshi, International Karatedo Gojukai Assocation (I.K.G.A.) - to implement their “animal style” moves and their unique way of fighting to our system. For Sensei Baumgürtel it is interesting to implement locks and throws to his art. We are still excited and working. Jiu is all about flexibility.

Why Jiu:

Jiu-Jitsu is the mother of Judo, Karate, Aikido and Kobudo (Japanese weapon techniques). Bushido Allgäu teaches all these styles and we certify them under MAA Jiu-Jitsu for kyus and Masterbelts. Jiu-Jitsu is an open system, which allows us to integrate principles and techniques from others Arts as well. However it is most fun to see how new / other disciplines copy or use Jiu-Jitsu in their system. Jiu is all about flexibility.
